Fiquei encantado com essa pintura de Alonso Cano desde a primeira vez que a vi. Isto aconteceu - há alguns anos atrás - no Museu do Prado, Madri, onde a pintura se encontra atualmente. Alonso Cano viveu de 1601 a 1667. Esta pintura representa São Bernardo recebendo um jato de leite do peito de Maria em sua boca.
Motivos do meu encantamento:
- gosto de ver peito;
- gosto de ver o peito de Maria - algo aparentemente tão sagrado e tão repetidamente representado na pintura e na escultura sacra;
- gosto da pontaria da virgem que acerta a boca de Bernardo a uma grande distância;
- gosto da forma como Cano pintou o trajeto branco e fino do leite atravessando toda a tela (eu olhei bem de pertinho).
Inclusive, meu amigo e artista Nino Ferreira está pintando uma pintura (!) na qual uma mulher lança um jato (de saliva? de mijo?) na direção de um dragão, o que me fez pensar mais uma vez no querido quadro de Cano. Depois, se Nino permitir, trarei foto da pintura ninesca.
Ainda no tema do peito de Maria, veja que bela imagem da Virgen de la Leche y Buen Parto que é venerada em Manila, Filipinas. Me encantou a veracidade desse peito, desse bico.
(I stayed enchanted with this painting by Alonso Cano from the first time I saw it. This happened - a few years ago - in the Prado Museum, Madrid, where painting is nowadays. Alonso Cano lived from 1601 to 1667. This painting represents St. Bernard getting a milk jet from Mary's breast in his mouth.
Reasons of my delight:
- I like to see breast;
- I like to see the breast of Mary - something so sacred and so often depicted in religious paintings and sculptures;
- I like the virgin's aim that hits the mouth of St. Bernard at a great distance;
- I like the way how Cano painted the milk's trajectory, white and thin, across of whole screen (I looked very closely).
In present time, my friend and artist Nino Ferreira is painting a painting (!) in which a woman throws a jet (saliva? piss?) in direction of a dragon, which got me thinking once again in Cano's painting. Then, if Nino to permit, I will bring a photo of the "ninesca" painting.
